Do You Remember Being a Teenager?
Can you imagine what life must be like for young people who have had to leave their homes due to family issues or other reasons?
In Frederick County, there are over 350 youth, age 13-19, who experienced homelessness over the past twelve months.
Many of these young people are unaccompanied, no longer living with a parent or guardian. These youth are fully on their own, with few resources and little support.
SHIP of Frederick County provides counseling, guidance, personalized care, and access to a broad range of services directed to lifting up these young people. Your tax-deductible donation will help SHIP to continue to provide the level of care our local youth need in order to build towards a better future.
Out of respect for the privacy of the people in our program, the young man in the photograph is a model.
